Crystal Laser Marking Machines
Crystal laser engraving machines put a photo, portrait, or logo inside a crystal block — not on it. The beam passes through the surface and forms the image in tiny white dots within the glass. The outside stays perfectly smooth, and the picture can never rub off, fade, or be scratched away.

THE CORE RANGE
Two Crystal Engravers, Two Different Jobs
Both engrave inside the block. The difference is speed against precision. The green 532nm laser is faster and more efficient, and it takes a taller crystal — up to 70 × 70 × 70 mm. It is the industry standard for the classic floating 3D portrait in K9 crystal, which is subsurface laser engraving, or SSLE.
The UV 355nm laser works finer and slower, in a shorter block of up to 70 × 70 × 50 mm, and it also marks the glass surface. If you are opening a 3D crystal photo business, start with the green model. Both are also sold as a 2D, 2.5D, 3D crystal photo machine or a glass laser engraving machine — the same technology works in optical glass as well as K9 crystal.

SELECTION GUIDE
Green, UV, or a Normal Laser?
Two questions settle it.
1. Can a normal laser you do this job? No — a CO2 or fiber laser burns the surface and cannot place anything inside the block.
2. Green laser or UV laser? Green Laser engraver is faster and takes a taller crystal; UV Laser Marker is finer but slower. Here is the honest comparison.

See the beam pass through the surface and build the image dot by dot — and see the finished block, smooth to the touch, with the picture floating inside.
HOW IT WORK
From Photo to Finished Crystal, in Four Steps
Subsurface laser engraving is easier to run than it looks — but only if you know where the work actually is. Here is the real process, including the part most sellers leave out.
APPLICATION
What Our Customers Sell
A 3D crystal engraving machine turns a photo into a keepsake that never fades. These are the products that pay it back.

The family portrait block
The piece that pays for the machine. A customer sends a phone photo, picks a blank, and walks out with it the same visit — faces, couples, families and pets.

The recognition award
A logo, a name and a date suspended inside the block. Repeat B2B work with real margin — and a premium look that surface engraving simply can't match.

The wedding keepsake
Portraits, vows and dates for weddings, births and graduations. Sold at the venue or the studio, where the emotion is highest and the price objection is lowest.

The full 3D model
A true 360° model floating in the block — buildings, cars, figurines, mascots. The highest-value piece on the counter, and the one competitors can't copy.

The memorial keepsake
A portrait, a date, a few words — held inside the crystal rather than printed on it. Quiet, dignified, and it will never fade or rub away.

The code inside the glass
A QR or serial code sitting within the wall of the bottle — it can't be scratched off or chemically lifted without wrecking the item. Used on spirits, cosmetics and luxury goods.
WHY HEATSIGN
Why Choose a HeatSign Crystal Laser Engraving Machine
Shop this category and you meet three kinds of seller. Premium crystal engravers quote $13,000 to $22,000. Machines under $5,000 look tempting but are known for inconsistent engraving depth — the flaw that ruins faces. And most listings come from trading companies who have never run the machine they are selling.
Marking machines are all we have done since 2016. We tell you plainly which of the two lasers fits what you plan to sell, and what the daily workflow really looks like before you buy.
ANSWERS
Crystal Laser Engraving Machine FAQs
How big a crystal can it engrave?
Can I turn a customer's phone photo into a 3D portrait?
A flat 2D photo goes straight in — send the JPEG or PNG and engrave it. That is most of what a gift counter sells.
Anything with depth is a design job, not a machine job. A 2.5D relief needs a synthesized file built from the photo plus a depth map, and a full 3D model needs a .glb built in software such as Blender, or generated with an AI tool. There is no button that turns a snapshot into a 3D model, and the machine does not scan objects. Budget a little time to learn the file side, or start with 2D and add depth later — that is how most shops do it.
Do I need a computer, or does it run on its own?
What crystal and glass actually work?
How long does one crystal take?
Why do some engravings crack, or come out faint?
Is it safe to run in a shop, and is it CE certified?
Yes — and this is where crystal engraving differs from the rest of the laser world. Both machines are enclosed desktop units with a filtered viewing window, so the beam stays inside and you can watch the engrave without goggles. That meets Class 1, the same safety class as a laser printer. Most crystal engravers on the market are open Class 4 systems that need eyewear, an interlock, and a room you can keep people out of.
Because the marking happens inside the crystal, there is also no smoke, no dust, and no fume extractor to buy or clean. That combination is what makes these safe to run on a counter with customers standing next to them. Machines are CE certified, which also matters at customs, and come with a one-year warranty and remote setup support.
