It marks about 0.05 to 1 mm deep. The exact depth depends on the metal’s hardness — softer metals take a deeper mark. Because the pin dents the metal, the mark is permanent. It stays readable after paint, rust, heat, and normal wear. For the best result, we also can test on your part first.

How fast is a handheld dot peen marking machine?
